It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Medomak Valley Panthers can now relate to. They fell 34-22 to Oceanside on Saturday. Medomak Valley lost against Oceanside in their previous head to head back in October, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 36-30 score last time.
Cohen Galley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 83 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 209 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. Galley is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played. Zeb Foster did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Medomak Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Oceanside, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Medomak Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oceanside will head out on the road to face off against Leavitt at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Leavitt is on a six-game streak of home wins, Oceanside a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
