Carver Posts Huge Game in 62-0 Win
Starting off the list is Kern Valley's Zane Carver, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Carver rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes. He has become a key player for Kern Valley: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Desert, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Carver. Carver rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 60 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Scorpions duked it out back in September of 2023.

Carlos Sualez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bishop Union to the win on Friday. Sualez picked up 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 60 yards.
Bishop Union is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Sualez will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against California City on Friday.

Emory Dondero Makes It Two for Bishop Union
Another Bishop Union player making an appearance on this list is Emory Dondero. He threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. He has become a key player for Bishop Union: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Rounding off our Top Five is Ty'Shawn Flowers of Rosamond. Flowers rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 74 yards and a touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Rosamond's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
The win got Rosamond back to even at 3-3. Flowers and Rosamond will challenge Kern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
