Lincoln-Way West extended the longest winning streak in Southwest Suburban - Red this week by beating Glenbard South, 46-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Lincoln-Way West was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Raiders. Dave Ernst's team came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Lincoln-Way North's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Arthur threw for 119 and 1 touchdown and Joseph Pacana had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Julian Hylton chipped in 226 yards. Jake Hradek helped Lincoln-Way North's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 34 yards.
Marc Zyla was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Phoenix bested Rich Central. The 5-foot-8 senior forced 1 fumble.
Hylton was a force in the backfield as Lincoln-Way North defeated the Olympians.
Hylton was a passing and rushing force as George Czart's team topped Rich Central. Hylton's favorite target this week was Pacana, who caught 3 passes for 46 yards.
Hylton was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 226 yards on 33 carries as the Phoenix beat Terrell Alexander's team. Pacana also contributed to the rushing game with 65 yards on the ground.
Lincoln-Way North's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Phoenix feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Arthur has thrown for 1,248 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Kyle Ostrowski has 23 catches for 396 yards.
The Warriors led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on Glenbard South.
