Indian Creek is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Northview is on a eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Indian Creek Braves will take on the Northview Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Indian Creek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 60-55 win over Westfield. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Indian Creek had a senior duo take command as Faith Wiseman dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds and Lauren Foster scored 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Wiseman hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Sichting, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Northview didn't have too much trouble with South Putnam at home on Friday as they won 50-31. 50 seems to be a good number for Northview as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Indian Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
Everything went Indian Creek's way against Northview when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Indian Creek made off with a 61-39 win. Does Indian Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
