The Central Blue Devils will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the East Orange Campus Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Central was able to grind out a solid victory over the Red Raiders, taking the game 55-43.
Central's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Malachi Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Mejwad Dixon, who scored 18 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Bass, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, East Orange Campus faced the Lions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. East Orange Campus took a 70-53 bruising from the Lions on Tuesday. East Orange Campus has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10. As for East Orange Campus, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.
Central took a serious blow against the Jaguars in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-29. Can Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
