The Lugoff-Elgin Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crestwood. Lugoff-Elgin lost against Crestwood in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-62 score last time.
Despite the loss, Lugoff-Elgin still got an impressive performance from Nigel Chivers, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Chivers scored a full 39% of Lugoff-Elgin's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Long, who scored 6 points.
Lugoff-Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Crestwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lugoff-Elgin will take on River Bluff at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestwood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Manning at 7:30 p.m.
