Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Oswego's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Oswego won the last time they faced Yorkville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Foxes.

While Oswego won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Peter Barnes paced Oswego's offense, picking up eight kills. Barnes got some help from Greyson Covay and his 18 assists. Will Mundsinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Oswego has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Yorkville, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Oswego has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Barrington on the 25th. As for Yorkville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Romeoville on the 29th.
