The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Northstar Christian Academy has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Lyons will arrive with 11 straight wins.
Northstar Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 78 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 79-78 to Wheatland-Chili. While losing is never fun, Northstar Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 694th, while Wheatland-Chili is ranked 123rd).
Meanwhile, Lyons strolled past Red Creek with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-43.
Northstar Christian Academy dropped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Lyons, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.
