Southern was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 13th to 11th in Freelance. Earlier in the week, the Rams triumphed over Spring Mills 42-0.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Fort Hill beat Mountain Ridge 51-12. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
6-foot-4 quarterback David Sills of Eastern Christian Academy is the league leader in passing yards this season with 783. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jake Vernon. The Northern star has 7 catches for 151 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Fort Hill takes on Allegany. Todd Appel's team is currently in first, while the Campers are in seventh.
Allegany made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,238 from 8,691. The advance stemmed from a 35-6 victory over Towson last week.
