The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crystal Lake Central in their matchups with Crystal Lake South: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Terlecki, who scored nine points.
Crystal Lake Central struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Crystal Lake Central has not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season. As for Crystal Lake South, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 25-2.
Crystal Lake Central will stay at home for another game and welcome Dundee-Crown at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Dundee-Crown is coming into the matchup with four straight victories on the road, so Crystal Lake Central is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Crystal Lake South, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-57 loss vs. Geneva on the 10th.
