The Ridgeland Panthers lost against the Ringgold Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ridgeland fell just short of Ringgold by a score of 53-51. Ridgeland has struggled against Ringgold recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Hill, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. Hill scored a full 29.4% of Ridgeland's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Chase Hickman, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ringgold, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeland will stay at home for another game and welcome Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Ringgold will take on Adairsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adairsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Ringgold is ranked 140th).
