 Wetumpka pushed their record up to 32-4 with that  win, which was their 12th straight  on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs per game. As for Homewood, they now  have a losing record at 9-10-1.
 Wetumpka didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  1-0  victory vs. Gardendale on the 13th. Homewood has also already played their next match,  a  4-1  loss against Pelham on the 13th.
