Everything went their way against the Berne Union Rockets on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-6 win. Considering the Lakers have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendyl Bonkowski was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Emma Raver was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
