There's no place like home for Millersport, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. Everything went their way against the Berne Union Rockets on Wednesday as they made off with  a  17-6 win. Considering the Lakers have won 13 matches by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kendyl Bonkowski was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   five  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than nine  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Emma Raver was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.  Scarlet Sheets also deserves some recognition as  she  launched her first  home run of the season.
 Millersport was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .625. They are 11-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Millersport's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Berne Union,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millersport will venture away from home to  square off against Wellington School  at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The Lakers are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak. As for Berne Union, they will challenge Harvest Prep at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.8  runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
