The Manokotak Lynx came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Togiak 67-31 at home. Manokotak has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manokotak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jesslynn Logusak, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kelisha Gloko, who scored 20 points.
Manokotak's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Togiak, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Manokotak will stay at home for another game and welcome the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Chief Ivan Blunka has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Togiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
