The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Lake Howell 63-42.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Smyrna Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Selecia Richburgh, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Thompson, who scored 14 points.
New Smyrna Beach's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Lake Howell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Smyrna Beach will square off against Space Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Howell, they will head out on the road to face off against Oviedo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Oviedo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday.
