Lanie Bass was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Carsey Lovell was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Nicole Harvey, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
