Isaias Tomita continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double with 25 points, 11 boards, and ten assists. Tomita is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least seven every time he's taken the court this season. Joshua Sosa was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.
Meanwhile, DSST: Cedar came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 68-39 win over the Lancers.
DSST: Cedar's win came from a few key players DSST: College View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bowen Tieperman, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Same Mehari, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
DSST: Cedar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in ten consecutive games.
DSST: Cedar's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for DSST: College View, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's contest: DSST: College View has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 39.6% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for DSST: Cedar, though, as they've only made 28.2% of their threes this season. Given DSST: College View's sizable advantage in that area, DSST: Cedar will need to find a way to close that gap.
DSST: College View was able to grind out a solid win over DSST: Cedar in their previous meeting back in January, winning 64-53. Does DSST: College View have another victory up their sleeve, or will DSST: Cedar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
