The Guyer Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Little Elm by a score of 84-72. Given Guyer's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Little Elm is ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Little Elm's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kensington Candler, who scored 26 points along with four steals, and Braidon Kellum who scored 21 points. Candler hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Riki Adams, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Guyer's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-8.
