Valley Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Seton Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Sentinels at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Valley Christian's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last 11 games.
Valley Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Apache Junction get on the board and left with a 27-0 win on Wednesday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.
Makay Fraley and Noemi Piraino were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Fraley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Piraino pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. At the plate, Fraley went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Piraino went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 22 runs the game before, Seton Catholic was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 9-2 to Globe.
Like Valley Christian, Seton Catholic also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooke Zuluaga. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Zuluaga was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Zuluaga wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Courtney Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Campbell is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Valley Christian pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Seton Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 16-2.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Valley Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .587. However, it's not like Seton Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .485. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Valley Christian's way against Seton Catholic when the teams last played last Tuesday, as Valley Christian made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
