It was a good run, but the McDonough Warhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 77-45 loss at the hands of Westside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McDonough has scored all season.
Despite the loss, McDonough still got an impressive performance from Keenan Gray, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zaiden Greene, who scored six points along with five steals.
McDonough's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Westside, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
McDonough's road trip will continue as they head out to face Blythewood at 12:45 p.m. on December 21st. Westside and White Knoll will face off on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. White Knoll is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
