The Patterson Tigers will head out to square off against the Hughson Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Patterson duked it out with Sonora on Saturday. Patterson never let Sonora get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Isabelle Lopez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. She also stolen a stolen base, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Cruthis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Reese Valentine, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Patterson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hughson got the win against Turlock on Saturday by a conclusive 14-2. With that victory, the Huskies brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.
Like Patterson, Hughson also got a great game from a two-way player: Presley Wells 2026. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wells 2026 was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, Emma Carne 2028 was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Grace Leedom 2025 was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Hughson's record now sits at 2-3-1. As for Patterson, the win got them back to even at 2-2-2.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both team's pitchers. Patterson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having hit 0 of their hits per game. However, it's not like Hughson struggles in that department as they've hit 0 of their hits this season. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Patterson came out on top in a nail-biter against Hughson in their previous meeting on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. Does Patterson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hughson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
