The biggest upset of the week belonged to Houston County, who took down 166th ranked Houston County, 27-23.
Northside extended the longest winning streak in AAAAA Region 2 this week by beating Lakeside, 56-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Greenbrier's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Luke Otstot threw for 172 and two touchdowns and Charlie Stakely had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Otstot chipped in seven yards. Clint Hardy helped Greenbrier's passing attack out by catching two balls for 41 yards.
The Bears' Taylor Boyett and Myles White have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Boyett has thrown for 387 yards this season, while White has 10 catches for 173 yards. Jeremy Harden from the Wolfpack leads the league in rushing with 357 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Houston County takes on Northside. As it stands, the Bears are in fourth, while Kevin Kinsler's team is in first.
Grovetown moved up to 234 from 277 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAAA Region 2. A 27-23 win over Houston County helped the Warriors improve their standing.
