The Ridgeline Riverhawks will challenge the Cedar Reds at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Cedar took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgeline, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Ridgeline was able to grind out a solid win over West Field, taking the game 8-3.
Ripken Jensen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Jensen was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddux Jensen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jett Jensen, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Ridgeline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Field only managed five.
Meanwhile, Cedar didn't have quite enough to beat Mountain View on Saturday and fell 2-1.
Collin Corry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Cedar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danny Chairez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Karson Duncan also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
The victory got Ridgeline back to even at 1-1. As for Cedar, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Ridgeline was able to grind out a solid win over Cedar in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 4-1. Do the Riverhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Reds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
