The home team had come away the winner the last four times Phoenixville and Owen J. Roberts had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Phantoms put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 14-2 victory on Monday. Considering the Phantoms have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Cadin Coleman tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Giovanni Vito, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Bobby Gray was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Phoenixville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
