After flying high against the Scotland Fighting Scots on Thursday, the St. Pauls Bulldogs came back down to earth. St. Pauls'2023 ended with a 63-44 defeat against North Brunswick on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Pauls has scored all season.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Theophilus (theo) Setzer, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Tyson Thompson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
North Brunswick's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terry Hood, who scored nine points along with five steals. Hood set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Kane Jenrette, who scored five points along with ten rebounds.
St. Pauls' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for North Brunswick, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
