The Astoria/VIT Rebels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over Blue Ridge. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Astoria/VIT.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Astoria/VIT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Sherrod, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaden Foglesong, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Astoria/VIT's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Astoria/VIT won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Madison at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th. Madison will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Blue Ridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Villa Grove at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
