After a string of three wins, Bosco Tech's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bishop Amat Lancers by a score of  61-58. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 390th, while the Lancers are ranked 188th).
 Bishop Amat's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Rayshaun White, who  posted 16  points in addition to six  boards and five  assists. The dominant performance gave  White a new career-high in  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aiden Shaw, who  went 8 for 17  en route to 21 points and eight  rebounds.
Bosco Tech's  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-9. As for Bishop Amat, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Bosco Tech will head out to  take on Cathedral  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Bosco Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last four contests. As for Bishop Amat, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  53-52  loss against Salesian on the 22nd.
