After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Enterprise, the East Marion Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over Sacred Heart. That 16 points margin sets a new team best for East Marion this season.
Among those leading the charge was Jakeria McCloud, who scored 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Watts, who scored two points along with 12 rebounds and nine blocks.
East Marion pushed their record up to 5-9 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Sacred Heart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-15.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Salem the next time they take the court. East Marion will head out to face Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Sacred Heart will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
