Edward Harrison Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Edward Harrison posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Davidson over Mary G. Montgomery on Friday. Harrison rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
This is the second loss in a row for Davidson and nudges their season record down to 2-7. They and Rain are set to duel on Friday.

Wheeler Posts Huge Game in 34-14 Victory
Jailen Wheeler was a major factor in Baker's win over Fairhope on Friday. Wheeler did his part (and then some), rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries for the 'W'.
Baker pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Wheeler and Baker will face off against Vigor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Martin Came Up Big in Fairhope's 34-14 Loss
Fairhope was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Bryon Martin did his best to prevent it. Martin turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Fairhope is 3-1 when Martin posts two or more receiving touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.
Fairhope is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. Martin and Fairhope will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on November 8th.
