Basketball Recap: Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Micheal Trey Phillips. The Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons came out on top against the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons by a score of 71-62 on Wednesday thanks in part to Phillips, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Aranas, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 21 times he's played.

Doral Academy Red Rock's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Daiton Williams, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards, and Brennan Cuello, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points and five assists. Kobe Artadi was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will face off against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Boulder City at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Boulder City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
