After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lumberton, South Columbus was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 39-16 margin over the Johnsonville Flashes. The Stallions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Columbus can attribute much of their success to Karys Townsend, who posted ten points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Townsend is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. Trinity Strickland was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

South Columbus' win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Johnsonville, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Columbus will host West Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnsonville, they will be playing at home against Kingstree at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
