After flying high against the Sussex Academy Seahawks on Thursday, the Seaford Bluejays came back down to earth. Seaford was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 69-68 to Glasgow. Seaford has struggled against Glasgow recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Seaford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vincent Evans, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Kashmier Wise, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds.
Jahsir Robertson was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Glasgow. Robertson has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasai Harris, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Seaford's defeat dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Glasgow, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seaford will square off against Delmar at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Seaford is coming into the match with 16 straight defeats on the road, meaning Delmar will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Glasgow, they will face off against Dickinson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Dickinson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
