Lakeland really took it to Lackawanna Trail for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-26 victory on the road. With that win, Lakeland brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Lakeland was led to victory by Nathan Hunt and Billy Hazelton. Hunt scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals, while Hazelton scored 17 points along with 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Chase Rosenkrans, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lakeland and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Lackawanna Trail, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Lakeland will head out on the road to face off against Honesdale at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Lackawanna Trail will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
