Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwest). They walked away with a 75-66 victory over the Granbury Pirates on Friday. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 61-37 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.

Southwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kordon Henderson, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. The game was Henderson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakarii Hudson, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.

Henderson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Southwest was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Southwest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Granbury, they moved to 10-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Southwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-29 win against Henrietta on the 14th. As for Granbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-58 defeat against Weatherford on the 14th.
