Caroline and Eastern View are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Cavaliers are taking a road trip to square off against the Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Caroline is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Caroline's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Culpeper County with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Caroline got a massive performance out of Alyssa Bray, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Bray a new career-high. Ava Anderson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Eastern View's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to King George on Tuesday. The Cyclones walked away with a 3-0 victory over Courtland. The win continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.
Cailin Rendell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kierstyn Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sara Hopper, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Caroline pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern View, their record is now 5-1.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Caroline has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .577. However, it's not like Eastern View struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Caroline suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Eastern View when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
