The Rushville Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-32 to Seymour. Rushville has not had much luck with Seymour recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Rushville had strong showings from Leonie Boyer, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Carly Senour, who scored seven points. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Rushville's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-7. As for Seymour, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.
Rushville and South Bend St. Joseph will round out the year against one another at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at. South Bend St. Joseph has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Seymour will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Scottsburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
