Wyatt Stanko posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Stanko and Simla will venture away from home to take on Cotopaxi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cubs are a perfect 4-0 against the Pirates going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
