Wayne Ulrich gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in February on Friday. He did his part (and then some), not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched for the 'W'. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Long Beach is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-9 otherwise.

Ulrich's effort led Long Beach over Pascagoula and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
