Montrose extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 7-4 in the process. They put the hurt on the Blue Ridge Raiders with a sharp 14-4 victory. The Meteors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Jocelyn Traver made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Traver was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Violet Conning was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Allison Jennings, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
