The Palm Harbor University Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 58-28 victory over Seminole at home. With Palm Harbor University ahead 38-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Palm Harbor University got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brenna Walters out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Leah Barker, who scored 12 points.
Seminole lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ava Santore, who scored ten points. Santore continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyilee Bacheler, who scored six points along with four steals.
Palm Harbor University has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Seminole, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-10.
Palm Harbor University won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Calvary Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Seminole won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Largo at 8:00 p.m. on January 11th. Hopefully Largo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 back in December of 2023.
