Despite the loss, Marshall County still got an impressive performance from Jabrae Howard, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Howard hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Jamahl Gentry was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Lawrence County's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Marshall County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.
Lawrence County will head out on the road to challenge Central Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Magnet has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Marshall County, they will be playing at home against Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Marshall County is ranked 108th).
