2A District 7 recap October 1, 2013
Jupiter Christian moved up to 423 from 480 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 7. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of beating North Broward Prep 22-0.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Glades Day beat Agape Christian Academy 26-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Gators.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Village Academy's Torrell Jones and Wesley Michel have proven to be a lethal combination. Jones has thrown for 211 yards this season, while Michel, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 4 catches for 94 yards. Bryan McGlynn from Jupiter Christian leads the league in rushing with 96 yards.
An important game coming up in 2A District 7 this week will be when Boca Raton Christian takes on Village Academy. Boca Raton Christian is in second place, while Donald Hanna's team is in fourth place.
Bill Powers' team took down the Eagles 22-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
