Mikayla Dean was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sam Bishop, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maddie Jensen, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
