Several Battlin' Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shazier Bethea, who on his way to 15 points and six boards. Bethea is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Jordan Bowers was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Minersville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
Pottsville can attribute much of their success to Letrel Montone, who made all 7 shots he took for 20 points. That's the most points Montone has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Alvarez, who put up 11 points.
Minersville's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Pottsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
