Bluff Dale has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Gordon Longhorns at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bluff Dale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
Last Friday, Bluff Dale took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 39-9 victory over Lueders-Avoca. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.
Bluff Dale can attribute much of their success to Allie Morris, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Morris has scored at least 25% of Bluff Dale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Montgomery, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Gordon was able to grind out a solid victory over Bowie on Saturday, taking the game 28-17.
Bluff Dale's victory lifted them to 5-5 while Lueders-Avoca's loss dropped them down to 0-5.
Bluff Dale was dealt a bruising 91-9 loss at the hands of Gordon when the teams last played back in January. Can Bluff Dale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
