The Durango Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 66-48 to Silverado, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Durango lost against Silverado in their previous head to head on Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-48 score last time.
Silverado's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cyril Franklin, Jr., who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Franklin, Jr.'s third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Goss, who scored 14 points.
Durango has fallen quite a ways from their 21-7 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Silverado, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Durango will take on Somerset Sky Pointe at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Somerset Sky Pointe is ranked 57th, while Durango is ranked 38th). Silverado is on the road again on Saturday and play against Green Valley at 8:30 a.m. on December 2nd. Green Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.6 points per game.
