Softball Recap: Sardis' Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Sardis entered their tilt with Douglas on Monday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Eagles. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Sardis pushed their record up to 24-10 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Douglas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
