It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Syracuse had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They walked away with  a   6-3  win over the Bingham Miners. Winning may never get old, but Syracuse sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
  Dom Johnatakis tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Carson Miles, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.  Tatum Martin was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 On Bingham's side, they got a good showing from  Ian Staley, who   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Kam Beck and  Abraham Atencio did some serious damage despite the final result:  Beck  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, while  Atencio  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Syracuse is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-11-1 record  this season. As for Bingham, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-13.
 Syracuse will challenge American Fork at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. American Fork will roll in looking for their  11th straight  victory, something Syracuse surely won't give up without a fight. Bingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
