The Harding Raiders were the 58-56 winner over the Canfield Cardinals when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Harding fell to Canfield 63-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Harding still got an impressive performance from Chaz Coleman, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ny Coleman, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Tony Russo was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points for Canfield. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Russo has scored all season. Dom Cruz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Harding's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Canfield, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harding will take on Howland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canfield, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Austintown-Fitch at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Austintown-Fitch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Sunday.
