The Flatirons Academy Bison will head out on the road to face off against the SkyView Academy Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Flatirons Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Flatirons Academy came out on top against Otis on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Bison blew past the Bulldogs 14-4. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Caleb Doughty made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Flatirons Academy got a massive performance out of Mateo Pope, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Pope a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braxton Kelley, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
Flatirons Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Otis only posted a batting average of .125.
Lyons hit SkyView Academy with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks came up short against the Lions, falling 10-2. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Chris Gallegos was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Logen Meyers, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Flatirons Academy's record now sits at 14-2. As for SkyView Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Flatirons Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. However, it's not like SkyView Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Flatirons Academy came up short against SkyView Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2025, falling 5-2. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
